Key Responsibilities
- Supervise, train, coach, and motivate the housekeeping team.
- Assign daily room and public area cleaning schedules.
- Inspect guest rooms and common areas to ensure brand and company cleanliness standards are consistently met.
- Ensure rooms are guest-ready in a timely manner.
- Monitor housekeeping productivity and quality standards.
- Manage housekeeping inventory, linens, guest supplies, and cleaning chemicals.
- Order supplies as needed while maintaining cost controls.
- Cookordinate with the Front Desk and Maintenance departments to prioritize room availability and report maintenance issues.
- Ensure compliance with all safety, sanitation, and OSHA guidelines.
- Assist with cleaning rooms and public areas as needed during busy periods.
- Handle guest requests and resolve housekeeping-related concerns professionally.
- Maintain accurate records of inspections, inventory, and departmental performance.
- Foster a positive, respectful, and team-oriented work environment.
Qualifications
- Minimum 4–5 years of housekeeping experience in a hotel environment.
- At least 3 years of supervisory or leadership experience in housekeeping.
- Previous experience in a limited-service hotel is required.
- Bilingual (English and Spanish) is required.
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Excellent organizational and time-management abilities.
- High attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness.
- Ability to prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Reliable attendance and punctuality.
- Ability to lift up to 35 pounds and perform physical duties, including standing, bending, walking, and climbing stairs throughout the shift.
- Must be authorized to work in the United States.
