About the role

As Head Golf Professional you will lead the golf shop and outside‑services operation, shaping guest experiences from the first phone call through every round, while overseeing retail, budgeting, programming, and day‑to‑day operations. This position reports to the Director of Golf.

Responsibilities

• Lead the golf shop and outside‑services team, planning schedules, setting service standards, and coaching staff to maintain pace of play.
• Own the guest experience from the initial phone call, handling tee‑time bookings, questions, and special requests.
• Oversee golf‑shop merchandising, purchasing, inventory, and develop sales programs to meet goals.
• Build and track operating and capital budgets, monitor cash handling, and assess financial performance of the golf operation.
• Plan and lead individual and group lessons, clinics, tournaments, and coordinate outings with external groups and associations.
• Manage daily operational tasks such as opening, closing, securing the shop and storage areas, maintaining the handicapping system, and organizing the driving range.
