About the role

Supervise and train student athletes in the fundamental skills, strategies, and physical training necessary to meet the program goals while ensuring safe Lacrosse athletic techniques are followed.

Teach good sportsmanship and self-control.

Implement GHSA and Coweta County School System policies and regulations.

Be knowledgeable of NCAA Clearinghouse guidelines and eligibility requirements.

Supervise, advise, and support assistant coaches.

Promote school spirit within and outside the school community.

Prepare team for athletic competitions.

Represent the school at invitational, regional, and state competitions.

Host Lacrosse camps.

Foster good relations with community, faculty, parents, and athletic boosters.

Qualifications

  • Minimum Bachelor's Degree from Accredited College or University and Valid Georgia Teacher Certification.
  • Successful teaching and coaching experience preferred.

Skills

  • Ability to develop a competitive program that is committed to the creation of student athletes who demonstrate a commitment to academics, strong fundamental skills, and sportsmanship.
  • Ability to organize, coordinate, plan, and direct the implementation of a comprehensive classroom instructional program.
  • Proficiency required in oral and written communication, interpersonal relations, and competency in counseling and evaluating student needs.
