HEAD GIRLS BOWLING COACH

Responsibilities

  • Excels at teaching bowling fundamentals, strategies, and sportsmanship.
  • Supervise student-athletes during practices, contests, travel, and related events.
  • Attend and actively participate in all scheduled practices, contests (home and away), and team functions.
  • Effectively plan practices, manage meets, and conduct skill instruction.
  • Monitor and enforce all eligibility, safety, and conduct requirements as established by IHSA, the school, and district policies.
  • Chaperone and supervise athletes at all bowling events (including practices, meets, community gatherings, etc.), maintaining discipline and promoting a positive team environment.
  • Maintain a safe environment and report injuries promptly to appropriate staff.
  • Complete required paperwork, attendance logs, and communicate with parents and administration as needed.
  • Attend coach meetings and required professional development as assigned by the athletic department.

Qualifications

  • ISBE, ASEP, or NFHS certification required.
  • Previous high school tennis coaching experience preferred.

Pay

For external applicants, individuals hired from outside CHSD 218 as seasonal coaches or activity sponsors receive only the contractual stipend for the assignment. Board-provided employee benefits (including health, dental, life insurance, leave, and participation in district retirement plans) are not available to external hires in these roles.
