About the role

We are looking for a personal financial planning professional (Certified Financial Planner™ preferred) who will lead our client advising efforts. You will serve as a fiduciary, working with clients to provide holistic advice on areas including saving, retirement, debt management, and investments. This is a front-line position helping clients, making it one of the most important roles at the company.

About You

We are especially interested in candidates with experience building web APIs with Go or experience with functional programming (e.g., Elixir, NodeJS, Clojure, F#). While you may not have experience with all the technologies in our stack, you are motivated to learn deeply. You will have the opportunity to work with both Go and Elixir alongside experienced teammates who can teach and pair with you.

You care about security, code quality, scalability, performance, and simplicity. Above all, you seek operational excellence and apply the best engineering practices possible. While not everything can be perfect, you ensure that trade-offs are always understood.

Responsibilities

• Enhance or improve user experience, our site, or our service.
• Process transactions.
• Send emails about our site or respond to inquiries.
• Ensure users adhere to security and usage policies, including:
  • Keeping passwords secure and confidential.
  • Being solely responsible for user data and all activity in their account.
  • Using commercially reasonable efforts to prevent unauthorized access and notifying Conclude promptly of any breaches.
  • Using the service in accordance with Conclude’s online user guide and all applicable laws and regulations.
• Communicate updates about Conclude, including news and requests for agreement to amended legal documents (e.g., Privacy Policy and Terms of Service).

Requirements

• Experience as a personal financial planning professional (Certified Financial Planner™ preferred).
• Ability to provide holistic financial advice on saving, retirement, debt management, and investments.
• Fiduciary mindset with a commitment to client best interests.
• Experience with Go (for web APIs) or functional programming (e.g., Elixir, NodeJS, Clojure, F#).
• Strong focus on security, code quality, scalability, performance, and simplicity.
• Willingness to learn and collaborate with teammates on new technologies.
