Head Coach, Tennis
Essential Responsibilities
- Responsible for building a competitive and sustainable roster
- Working in close partnership with the Enrollment Management team to identify, recruit, and retain academically and athletically talented student-athletes
- Prioritizing the holistic development of student-athletes, mentoring them toward academic achievement, personal growth, and professional readiness
- Overseeing all daily operational and technical aspects of both tennis programs
- Organizing practice sessions, designing strategic match preparations, developing competitive schedules, and coordinating team travel logistics
- Actively networking to secure high-quality off-campus facilities for practices and home matches
- Hiring and developing assistant coaches, managing the operational budget with fiscal responsibility, and executing all administrative tasks in a timely, professional manner
- Executing active alumni outreach and fundraising campaigns
- Collaborating broadly with faculty, staff, and Student Affairs to enrich campus life
- Ensuring game day administration for other sports
Qualifications
- A bachelor’s degree
- A minimum of three years of successful tennis coaching and leadership experience
- A valid driver’s license
- Exceptional communication skills and building inclusive team environments
Preferred Qualifications
- A master’s degree
- Five or more years of tennis coaching experience
- Head coaching experience
- Colegiate coaching experience
Position Details
The job grade for this position is Grade 7. The expected salary for this position is between $71,000.00 - $85,000.00 which reflects what we reasonably expect to pay for this role.
