About the role

To help each student achieve the highest level of skill that he/she is capable of while developing self-discipline, good sportsmanship, and an increased level of self-esteem.

Responsibilities

• Work with students to develop their basketball skills
• Encourage good sportsmanship and self-esteem in students
• Adhere to and enforce rules and regulations of basketball

Requirements

• High School diploma or equivalent
• Current New Mexico Instructor's License preferred
• Have or be able to attain a NMAA coaching certification

Qualifications

• Working knowledge of rules and regulations of sport involved
• Ability to work well with students, staff, and parents
• Ability to work a flexible schedule

Conditions of Employment

• Ability to comply with the Immigration Reform and Control Act of 1986
• Complete an Employee's Statement of Health and submit to a functional capacity evaluation at the District's expense
• Ability to perform job-related functions and fitness for duty
