Head Coach for Girls Soccer

Major Duties & Responsibilities

  • Oversee all aspects of the middle school girls soccer program, focusing on participation, skill building, and a positive team culture.
  • Plan and conduct effective, age-appropriate practices focusing on fundamental techniques, safety, game strategies, and conditioning.
  • Develop and organize lineups, manage games, and make strategic decisions during competition.
  • Mentor student-athletes, emphasizing sportsmanship, responsibility, and commitment to academic success.
  • Manage equipment inventory, coordinate travel logistics, and maintain clear communication with the Athletic Coordinator, school staff, and parents.
  • Ensure adherence to all school, district, and middle school athletic association rules and regulations.

Minimum Qualifications

  • CT Certification 600: Interscholastic/Intramural Coach or eligibility for certification required
  • First Aid/CPR Certification
  • Demonstrated knowledge of soccer fundamentals, tactical strategies, and safety protocols for middle school athletes.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to inspire, motivate, and build confidence in student-athletes of all skill levels.
  • Commitment to academic excellence and holistic student development.
  • Ability to pass a comprehensive background check.

Rate of Pay

$3,837 for the 2026-2027 School Year (* fall season)
