Position Overview
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and oversee all aspects of the assigned academy team's training, match preparation, and performance.
- Implement CT United Academy's playing philosophy, training methodology, and developmental objectives.
- Develop and execute structured, age-appropriate training sessions aligned with MLS NEXT standards.
- Work closely with the Academy Director and technical staff to evaluate and develop players.
- Foster a high-performance culture, ensuring an environment of discipline, respect, and professionalism.
- Utilize video analysis and data to enhance player performance and development.
- Communicate regularly with players, parents, and staff regarding progress, expectations, and development plans.
- Identify and recruit top talent in alignment with the club's scouting and recruitment strategies.
- Represent CT United Academy professionally in all MLS NEXT events, tournaments, and showcases.
Qualifications
- Minimum USSF B License (or equivalent) required.
- Minimum 5 years of coaching experience at the elite youth collegiate, or professional level.
- Strong understanding of player development within an academy structure.
- Experience in developing and managing high-performance environments.
- Excellent leadership, organizational, and communication skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively with technical staff, players, and families.
- Familiarity with MLS NEXT rules, competition structures, and best practices.
- Experience in talent identification and recruitment is preferred.
- Proficiency in video analysis and performance tracking tools is a plus.
