Head Coach Cross Country - Sutter Middle School
About the role
The Head Coach Cross Country at Sutter Middle School will guide athletes and teach them the correct way to play a sport. Coaches are professionals who study the rules, techniques and other technical aspects of a game. Coaches formulate training plans and look at areas such as an athlete’s performance, nutrition, educational performance at school. They mentor young children and some even supervise their transition into the next level.
Responsibilities
- The ability to communicate with Middle School level students.
- The ability to teach skills and drills at the designated school level.
- The ability to work well with others.
Requirements
- A minimum of three (3) years of school-level relevant sport coaching experience or college-level experience.
- Prior Head Coaching and/or Varsity coaching experience preferred.
Qualifications
- Must pass DOJ and FBI Criminal Background Check.
- Must complete TB Test within the last 60 days (Education Code 49406, Assembly Bill 1667).
- Must complete district Mandated Reporter training.
- Must obtain and maintain a First Aid/CPR Certificate (In-Person Training ONLY).
- Must complete Sudden Cardiac Arrest, Concussion In Sports, and Heat Illness Prevention training.
