Responsibilities
- Oversee all aspects of the Spring Lake Park High School boys track and field program, including but not limited to:
- Attendance tracking
- Finalizing and submitting meet lineups
- Communicating with event coaches to finalize meet lineups
- Direct communication with male student-athletes and their parents
- Communication with post-secondary track and field coaches
- Shared duties with the girls track and field head coach, including but not limited to:
- Supervising and assigning duties to shared assistant coaches
- Setting up practices, meets, and schedules for the program
- Supervision of athletes at practices and games
- Care and maintenance of program equipment
- Arranging team transportation
- Collaborating with Spring Lake Community Education Summer Programming, booster club, and regular meetings with other coaches to evaluate program goals
- Adjust work schedule for practices and games as needed
Requirements
- A strong background in high school, collegiate, and/or professional track and field competition as an athlete and coach
- Strong work ethic and dedication to furthering the benefits of participation in co-curricular activities
- Leadership skills, including organization, vision, motivation, and conflict resolution
- Ability to work collaboratively with student-athletes, parents, staff, and community
Preferences
- BA/BS Degree and MN Teaching License with coaching certificate highly preferred
Pay
$7,500 stipend (may be pro-rated based on FTE of assignment)
