Head Chef
The Pentland Hotel, Thurso, is one of three hotels in The Caithness Collection, an established family hotel business with over 35 years of hospitality experience. The hotel has 42 rooms, catering for tour buses from April to October, and operates all year round due to a strong local client following. The bar accommodates 60 covers, the dining room 60 covers, and the ballroom can dine up to 120 for events.
- Responsible for a team of 6-8 staff, food preparation, and overseeing the standards of food quality.
- Ordering, rosters, menu planning, and team organization.
- Hands-on cooking and developing the kitchen team.
- Managing cleaning, monitoring of food safety standard records.
