About the role
The Job Title Head Baseball Coach is seeking a dedicated individual to lead the baseball program at Hillhouse High School within the New Haven Public Schools system. The successful candidate must possess and maintain the necessary certification requirements as established by Connecticut State Statutes, including the State of CT Coaching Permit (Module 15), Concussion Management/CPR and First Aid.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement a comprehensive baseball curriculum aligned with New Haven Public Schools educational goals.
- Coach players, providing guidance and support to enhance their skills and performance.
- Collaborate with other coaches and staff to ensure a cohesive and supportive team environment.
- Maintain open communication with parents and guardians regarding player progress and expectations.
- Participate in team meetings and other school functions as required.
Requirements
- Strong background in baseball coaching and experience at the high school level.
- Ability to manage time effectively and balance multiple responsibilities.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Commitment to fostering a positive and inclusive learning environment.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Education or related field.
- Experience working with diverse student populations.
- Knowledge of current best practices in youth sports coaching.

The pay for this position is via a coaching stipend.
Schedule
