HBO Technician - Full Time

About the role

We are seeking a dedicated HBO Technician (will train) / EMT Certified (required) candidate to provide Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy at RestorixHealth. This position involves conducting initial and ongoing assessments, providing therapy, and operating hyperbaric chambers. The technician must also offer excellent customer service to patients, their families, and referring physicians.

Responsibilities

• Preparation of all patients referred for treatment
• Participates in department's quality improvement plan and assists in collecting data for Quality Assurance & Education
• Documents all care provided accurately and completely according to hospital and department policy
• Provides therapy and hyperbaric chamber operations and maintenance/cleaning as required
• Recognizes changes in the patient’s condition and intervenes appropriately
• All patient treatment notes to be entered into RHX’s EMR system
• HIPAA Compliance – complies with all privacy and confidentiality policies and procedures
• Adheres to all Patient Safety Initiatives and Infection Control Procedures as outlined in the hospital’s safety manual
• Travel to other local centers for coverage, training, etc. when required

Qualifications

• Proof of COVID-19 vaccination by date of hire is required
• Valid and current BLS from the American Heart Association
• Valid CPR certification from the American Heart Association
• EMT-B, EMT-I, EMT-CC, EMT-P, RN, or LVN/LPN certification in the state where the technician will work
• Other advanced medical certifications may be considered
• CHT trained/certified preferred
• Prior experience with wound care patients preferred (Will train)
• Basic skills in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) preferred
• Prior experience with an Electronic Medical Records (EMR) system preferred
• Must be physically able to perform CPR
