HBO Safety Director

About the role

The Hyperbaric Safety Director at Healogics is responsible for administering hyperbaric oxygen therapy, operating and maintaining hyperbaric chambers, and ensuring patient safety. This role requires a high level of attention to detail, strong interpersonal and communication skills, and proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, educate, and orient patients for hyperbaric oxygen therapy sessions.
• Administer hyperbaric oxygen therapy as prescribed by the Hyperbaric Provider.
• Maintain and operate hyperbaric chambers and related support systems.
• Participate in safety programs and conduct safety drills.
• Collaborate with senior management to develop and revise department policies and procedures.
• Lead the hyperbaric safety program and ensure compliance with NFPA 99.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Current Certified Hyperbaric Technologist (CHT) or Certified Hyperbaric Specialist (CHS) certification.
• Pre or post-hire completion of an approved Hyperbaric Oxygen (HBO) Safety course.
• Current healthcare professional certification or license as applicable in state of practice.
• Two (2) or more years' experience in healthcare.
• Prior supervisory experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) / CPR certification.
• Attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and multi-task.
• Basic math skills and proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.

Pay

The hourly rate for this position generally ranges between $28.26-$37.39 Per Hour.
