HBM Hardware Emulation Architect
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain hardware emulation environments for complex SoCs and subsystems.
- Compile, configure, and debug large-scale RTL designs on emulation platforms (e.g., Palladium, Veloce, Zebu).
- Support pre-silicon validation, firmware bring-up, and early software development using emulation.
- Debug functional, performance, and connectivity issues across RTL, firmware, and system layers.
- Work closely with design, verification, firmware, and architecture teams to enable rapid debug and issue resolution.
- Create emulation testbenches, transactors, and models for system-level use cases.
- Enable hybrid validation flows (simulation + emulation + FPGA prototyping as needed).
- Provide hands-on support during key project achievements (tapeout, bring-up, customer enablement).
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or Master’s degree or equivalent experience in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related field.
- 10+ years of relevant Engineering or Design Engineering experience.
- Strong experience with RTL design and debug.
- Hands-on experience with hardware emulation platforms.
- Solid understanding of SoC architecture, interconnects, and IP integration.
- Experience debugging full-chip or subsystem level designs.
- Familiarity with firmware or low-level software interaction with hardware.
Qualifications
- Preferred experience with advanced emulation techniques and methodologies.
- Experience with mixed-signal and RF design.
- Knowledge of high-level synthesis and formal verification techniques.
- Experience with FPGA-based prototyping and verification.
Skills
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python, Perl, or TCL.
