The Basics Location: Southeast Chicago, IL Compensation: $34.00 per hourDays/Hours: 2nd Shift - 2:00 p.m. to 2:00 a.m. - Weekends includedEquipment Used: Sulphur Truck and Trailer Material Handled: Moten Sulphur Benefits Of Working Here At Savage A culture that appreciates Team Members Paid time off (“PTO”), Paid Holidays Profit sharingExcellent benefits including medical, dental, vision, and 401(k) with matchOpportunity for growthA commitment to helping our Team Members do things that they never dreamed possible What You'll Be Doing Follow proper safety rules and operating procedures to support zero tolerance safety objectivesOperate truck and tanker safely at all times within the refinery, customer, and public roads.Follow all FMCSA/Company rules and regulationsComplete and maintain required daily paperworkHousekeeping duties with the truck and trailer.Assist Maintenance personnel, as needed and directedMaintain company objectives and expectations in the absence of the Facility Manager and Operations Manager.Willingness to work weekends, nights, holidays, and overtime as required to maintain safe and efficient operations. Qualifications Ability to learn the loading and unloading procedures for all customersValid Class A CDL with tanker and hazmat endorsements and a minimum of 6 months experience on both endorsements. Experience in tractor/trailers specific to tankers with Haz-MatProven ability to focus on details, follow work rules, and adhere to work schedules.Experience with OSHA guidelines, policies, and procedures Requirements High School Diploma required.
