About the role
The Captain serves as the final authority on every flight, leading operations with an unwavering commitment to safety while delivering the premium client experiences that define Jet Access in the marketplace.
Responsibilities
- Conduct all aircraft operations in accordance with the Flight Operations Manual, company policies, and applicable Federal Aviation Regulations.
- Exercise operational control on behalf of the Director of Operations, maintaining final authority over all flight decisions.
- Lead and mentor assigned First Officers, fostering professional development, crew cohesion, and the application of sound aeronautical decision-making.
- Maintain current proficiency and type competency as a required crewmember on the assigned aircraft, completing all recurrent training within required timelines.
- Ensure strict compliance with flight and duty time limitations, rest requirements, and fatigue risk management standards.
- Deliver premium service experiences that consistently meet and exceed aircraft owner and passenger expectations.
- Carefully coordinate itinerary change requests and special client needs with the Operations Control Center, keeping all parties informed and aligned.
- Conduct thorough and professional preflight passenger briefings that reflect both safety requirements and the Jet Access client experience standard.
- Foster lasting client relationships through consistent, attentive, and genuinely hospitable service throughout every trip.
- Review flight and maintenance logs prior to departure to verify airworthiness and ensure all required inspections and entries are current.
- Ensure all preflight, post-flight, and routine servicing is accomplished in accordance with established policies and manufacturer standards.
- Verify that current manuals, charts, and required equipment are on board and serviceable prior to each flight.
- Document engine trend monitoring data and any maintenance observations as requested by the Maintenance Department.
- Coordinate with maintenance personnel for the accomplishment of required or discrepancy-driven maintenance, ensuring aircraft are returned to service correctly.
- Ensure all flight, aircraft, and passenger records are completed accurately and submitted on time in accordance with company and regulatory requirements.
- Perform the duties of Ground and In-flight Security Coordinator per 49 CFR 1544.215(b-c), ensuring aircraft and passenger security throughout every operation.
- Verify that crew and passengers hold valid documentation required for international travel prior to departure.
- Conduct all international arrivals and departures in full compliance with customs, immigration, and applicable foreign aviation regulations.
- Ensure that no unauthorized personnel access or manipulate aircraft controls at any point during the operation.
- Participate actively in safety management system initiatives, continuous improvement programs, and fleet standardization efforts.
- Contribute to training program development and serve as a mentor resource for junior crew members seeking to grow their careers at Jet Access.
- Represent Jet Access with professionalism at company events, industry functions, and client-facing engagements.
- Pursue ongoing professional development and remain current on evolving FAA, ICAO, and international regulatory requirements.
- Complete special projects and initiatives as needed, embracing opportunities to contribute to Jet Access's continued growth and success.
Requirements
- ATP Certificate required.
- Current First-Class Medical Certificate.
- 3,000 hours total flight time; 1,500 hours total Pilot-in-Command (PIC) time; 500 hours Multi-Engine PIC time; 250 hours PIC time in type; 250 hours Turbine PIC time.
- Completed initial or recurrent training in the required aircraft type within the preceding 12 months.
- Working knowledge of Federal Aviation Regulations applicable to FAR Part 135 and Part 91 operations.
- Valid state driver's license and valid passport required.
- Ability to pass a background check and drug screening.

Qualifications
- Thorough knowledge of ICAO standards and demonstrated experience managing international flight operations and customs procedures.
- Background serving high-net-worth individuals or private aviation clients in a premium service environment.
- Proficiency with trip planning, scheduling, and flight tracking platforms used in Part 135 operations.
- Experience contributing to safety programs, mentoring programs, or operational standardization initiatives.
- Commitment to continuous learning and a track record of professional development beyond minimum regulatory requirements.

- Professional appearance maintained at all times while on duty or in contact with clients and aircraft owners.
- Valid driver's license required for ground transportation responsibilities associated with trip support.
- Commands the flight deck with calm authority and communicates clearly and decisively with crew, operations, and clients under any conditions.

Pay
Compensation per the Jet Access Flight Crew Compensation Plan, variable based on aircraft assignment and experience.
Schedule
Schedule varies by aircraft assignment and trip demand; flexibility is a core expectation of this seat. Both domestic and international operations are part of standard duty; specific scheduling details will be confirmed at the time of assignment. Availability expectations align with Part 135 operational requirements and the needs of aircraft owners and charter clients.
