Program Summary
The Hawaiian Airlines Military Technician Development Program supports active-duty military personnel and veterans in transitioning to civilian careers in commercial aviation maintenance. Participants receive financial support, mentorship, and a contingent employment opportunity upon successful completion.

Key Duties
Attend and Maintain Good Standing: Participate in an FAA-approved FAR 147 A&P test preparation program.
Communication: Regular and consistent communication with the company regarding academic and skill development progress.
A&P Licenses: Obtain A&P licenses within 90 days of completing the program.
Employment Commitment: Commit to a minimum of 12 months of employment with Hawaiian Airlines following program completion.
Required Program Specific Skills, Experience & Education
Active-duty military member or veteran: Valid FAA Form 8610-2 or eligible certificate.
Valid Driver's License:
Lifting Capacity: Ability to lift 70 pounds and perform physical tasks such as bending, stooping, squatting, reaching, and grasping.
Variety of Shifts: Flexibility to work varied shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
Security Clearance: Ability to obtain airport security clearance.
Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills in English.
Age: Minimum age of 18.
Education: High school diploma or equivalent.
Legal Authorization: Authorization to work in the U.S.

Airport SIDA Badge Requirements
Employees working at an airport or maintenance hangar will be required to obtain a SIDA badge provided by the airport authority and maintain good standing to keep their badge. Failure to obtain or maintain a SIDA badge will result in termination.
