Job Summary

Certified Languages International (CLI) seeks telephonic interpreters who can provide services to a variety of industries including medical, insurance, financial, utility companies, customer service, and state courts. This is a freelance position for independent contractors working from home.

About the Role

The role involves providing over-the-phone interpretation services for high-volume calls, primarily in medical settings. Work schedules are flexible, allowing interpreters to work around their personal lives while meeting the needs of CLI's diverse client base.

Responsibilities

• Provide accurate and professional interpretation services over the phone
• Interpret in a rare dialect or one not listed on CLI's job board
• Service all industries including medical, insurance, financial, utility companies, customer service, and state courts
• Work from home, setting your own schedule
• Interpret 24/7 as needed, using CLI's online portal or landline telephone

Requirements

• Must be able to work in the United States legally
• Must reside in the United States
• Must have a valid Social Security Number or Employer Identification Number and photo identification

Qualifications

• Experience in over-the-phone interpretation is preferred

Benefits

• Paid per minute for every minute spent on the phone interpreting
• Payment issued twice a month via direct deposit

Pay

Payment is based on a per-minute rate.
