Haul Truck Operator- Bronte Texas

About the Role

Rogers Group, Inc., headquartered in Nashville, is a privately held aggregates and asphalt highway construction company operating in 13 states with over 3,500 employees. RGI, established in 1908, has the distinction of being recognized as the largest privately held aggregate producer in the United States. Rogers Group is seeking candidates to fill a position as a Haul Truck Operator in Bronte, Texas. This position will report to the Plant Manager. The successful candidate for this position will have familiarity and experience operating rigid frame and/or articulated haul trucks and will have an uncompromising focus on safety excellence.

Responsibilities

• Operate haul trucks to move rock from the pit to the crusher and begin the crushing process.
• Perform daily pre-and post-inspections with appropriate documentation in compliance with company policies.
• Perform servicing and maintenance of equipment as trained and directed by management.
• Operate equipment with a high degree of competency, skill, and proficiency.
• Properly follow all company policies and OSHA / MSHA / Environmental regulations for safe working procedures and environment.
• Must be able to work outside in all types of weather and tolerate being exposed to loud noises.
• Willingness to work in a team environment and assist co-workers or supervisors with other duties as required.
• Must be willing to work overtime and extended hours as needed.

Required Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years of experience operating heavy equipment required.
• Individuals must be dedicated to always operating safely.
• Individual must be willing to perform any task required at quarry.
• Must be able to identify and alert management to maintenance issues with equipment.
• Ability to complete pre-operation inspection paperwork.
• Flexibility to work overtime and weekends when necessary.
• Effective communication skills applicable to position.

Preferred Qualifications

• Dozer Experience a plus.
