Haul Truck Driver

Surface Haul Truck Driver position based in Leavenworth, KS with travel to locations near Onaga, St. Mary’s, and Soldier, KS. Operate heavy equipment including haul trucks, motor graders, water trucks, loaders, and cranes to transport raw materials from pit to plant safely and efficiently at maximum loading capacity.

Responsibilities

• Operate mobile equipment such as haul trucks, motor graders, water trucks, loaders, and cranes
• Assist in plant repairs and clean-up
• Perform pre-shift safety inspections on equipment
• Perform preventative maintenance and service mobile equipment; report needed repairs to shop personnel
• Maintain good housekeeping of equipment
• Adhere to MSHA and plant safety rules and regulations
• Perform duties with minimum supervision

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED equivalent
• Valid driver’s license
• Experience is a plus but will train the right candidate
• Bi-lingual ability is a plus
• Willingness to learn to operate all other mobile equipment

Working Conditions

• Larger equipment is typically air conditioned
• Outside assignments may require work in all weather conditions (heat, cold, wet, or dry)
• Exposure to dust, sand, gravel, diesel exhaust, etc.

$23 to $26 an hour
