Hatchery Service/Dispatch Associate

Check & Grade Chicks

• Perform duties unsupervised and maintain a positive attitude.
• Make decisions independently and strive for continuous improvement.
• Build boxes for chick transport and label orders accurately.
• Ensure equipment and consumable materials are in good condition and sufficient.
• Maintain high standards of chick and egg welfare during handling.
• Follow cleaning and hygiene protocols as per company guidelines.
• Adhere to safe working practices and wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE).
• Report accidents and near misses promptly.
• Maintain strict biosecurity measures at all times.

Qualifications

• Ability to handle moderate to heavy physical work, including pushing and pulling trolleys weighing up to 50 lbs.
• Basic math skills necessary for the job.
• Capable of standing for extended periods and performing repetitive tasks.
• Experience working in a fast-paced environment and ability to manage stress.
• Proven reliability in attendance and willingness to give one's best effort.
• Teamwork skills and effective communication abilities.
• Knowledge and proficiency in using simple Microsoft programs like Excel and Word.
