Hatchery Lead
About the role
Work in a hatchery setting performing assigned job duties to verify and confirm correct operation of overall hatchery programs for sanitation and processing areas. Follow all established safety and operational SOP's to achieve goals on hatch, hatch of fertile (HOF), early mortality, and budgets.
Responsibilities
- Directs daily activities of hourly processing and sanitation employees to ensure efficient hatchery operation.
- Monitors operation of chick processing equipment to ensure proper function.
- Ensures all sanitation procedures and practices are followed.
- Ensures compliance with all established SOP's, including animal welfare and safety.
- Provides training to all hourly employees regarding daily tasks associated with hatchery operation.
Requirements
- High School diploma or equivalent.
- 1-3 years of experience in a hatchery setting.
- Completion of all safety training, Lockout-Tagout (LOTO), and pallet jack certification.
