Harvest Room Labor PR05 (Live Hanger) 1st Shift - Berry St Plant

Hourly pay: $17.45

About the role

Working with low lighting, you will reach to a moving conveyor belt at your workstation, grasping live birds weighing from two to over eight pounds. You must lift each bird from the belt to a suspended moving shackle-line conveyor, placing both legs into the shackle. The line speed is approximately 105 birds per minute, requiring you to hang about 27 birds per minute.

Responsibilities

• Reach, grasp, lift, and hang live birds into moving shackles, visual-monitoring every fourth shackle
• Stand for the majority of the shift
• Use required personal protective equipment (PPE)
• Perform other duties as directed by your supervisor
• Cut meat away from bone using knives or scissors (as needed)

Requirements

• Good manual dexterity to handle live birds on a fast-moving line
• Ability to stand for extended periods
• Willingness to work overtime and weekends as needed
• Ability to perform the physical requirements of the job, with or without reasonable accommodation
• For rehire consideration: 180-day (6-month) waiting period; maximum of two previous Tyson employments

• Inside facility with low lighting in the live-hang area
