About the Role
This position supports the sales operations at the Harry Potter Chicago store by maximizing customer and fan engagement in an awe-inspiring, best-in-class retail environment. The role primarily engages with guests by providing excellent service and addressing their needs to enhance their shopping experience.
Responsibilities
- Consistently and proactively engage with guests.
- Assist customers with merchandise purchases by locating items, suggesting items of interest, and retrieving merchandise from inventory.
- Follow the steps of service to ensure the best guest experience.
- Cascade customer feedback to the correct channels of communication.
- Promote a positive and seamless guest experience.
- Foster the store’s sales strategy plan on customer engagement.
- Handle register and cash duties, ensuring all transactions are complete and accurate.
- Follow, teach, and exhibit all safety and compliance protocols.
- Adhere to the store’s uniform policy.
- Attend all scheduled shifts on time.
- Foster an environment to maintain store shrink within acceptable parameters.
- Responsible for attaining delegated daily, monthly, or quarterly sales goals.
- Proactively advocate and understand promotions within the store.
- Engage in store sales strategy.
- Maintain store appearance to ensure it is neat, orderly, and well-stocked to meet visual merchandising standards.
- Teach and live the store’s culture with each associate.
- Collaborate with the team to follow company values.
- Follow and impact store set priorities and brand standards.
Requirements
- Knowledge of the Harry Potter series and background.
- Demonstrated customer service skills.
- Excellent communication skills (verbal, non-verbal, visual) with the ability to communicate effectively in public to both small and large groups.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Strong attention to detail with a focus on basic numerical skills.
- Highly motivated self-starter with good initiative.
- Proficiency with Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Open availability for a flexible work schedule that meets the needs of the business, including overnights, evenings, holidays, and weekend shifts.
Pay
Compensation for this role is $19 an hour.
