Responsibilities
- Develop and release harness design solutions within a 3D NX CAD environment, adhere to and improve internal design standards and requirements.
- Work with responsible engineers to generate electrical schematics to support both flight and qualification designs.
- Perform testing (both mechanical and electrical) of harnessing with respect to thermal, loads, vibration and shock to ensure full qualification for flight.
- Triage non-conforming interconnect products and drive resolution and preventative actions.
- Support development tooling and low-rate manufacturing of new electrical and optical harnessing products.
Requirements
- A high school diploma or equivalency certificate.
- 3+ years in professional wire harnessing experience or similar environment, or a bachelor’s degree in engineering or a similar field.
- 3D CAD harnessing/routing design and drafting experience with Siemens NX or similar software.
- Exposure to electrical/optical harnessing processes and tooling.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, autonomously driven, and demanding atmosphere.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Must be able to work all required shift hours, overtime, and weekends as needed. Estimated shift times; 1st Shift: 7:00AM - 5:00PM.
- Must be able to lift 25 pounds unassisted.
- Standing for long periods of time, climbing up and down ladders, bending, grasping, sitting, pulling, pushing, stooping, and stretching may be required to perform the functions of this position.
Qualifications
- To conform to U.S. Government export regulations, applicant must be a (i) U.S. citizen or national, (ii) U.S. lawful, permanent resident (aka green card holder), (iii) Refugee under 8 U.S.C. § 1157, or (iv) Asylee under 8 U.S.C. § 1158, or be eligible to obtain the required authorizations from the U.S. Department of State.

Your actual level and base salary will be determined on a case-by-case basis and may vary based on the following considerations: job-related knowledge and skills, education, and experience.
