Hardware Test Engineer I / II
About the Role
This position offers the opportunity to contribute directly to mission-critical projects supporting the US Navy's Aircraft Launch and Recovery system, working in a rapid development environment alongside engineers and production staff from both BAE and government technical teams. The role involves hands-on testing of electrical hardware from component to system level, with travel required for system installation, operation verification, testing, and certification.
Key Responsibilities
- Gather product requirements and develop comprehensive test plans and procedures for electrical, mechanical, and software systems
- Execute testing activities, troubleshoot issues, perform root cause analysis, and communicate test results clearly and effectively
- Design and build automated testing systems to enhance efficiency and reliability
- Create and maintain thorough technical documentation in compliance with Quality Management Systems
- Collaborate closely with engineers, production staff, and technical teams from both BAE and government partners
- Travel to project sites for system installation, verification, testing, and certification as needed
Required Education, Experience, & Skills
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related technical field
- 0-2 years of experience in testing electrical hardware at both component and system levels
- Strong understanding of electrical engineering fundamentals and testing techniques
- Demonstrated troubleshooting and analytical thinking skills
- Experience with root cause analysis and building automated testing systems
- Familiarity with Quality Management Systems and technical documentation standards
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, multi-disciplinary team environment

Pay
Full-Time Salary Range: $64,926 - $110,374. Individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including business considerations, local market conditions, internal equity, and candidate qualifications such as skills, education, and experience.
