As a member of the Post-Silicon Validation team, you will contribute to several areas of product development and validation including functional, electrical, and system stress. Additional opportunities include the development of software, test plans, and utilities to enable customer platforms. The Post-Silicon Validation team develops solutions and validates a range of IO interfaces and functions on multi-core ARM processors, including Ethernet, RFOE, and PCIe.

Responsibilities

  • Integrate and support PCIe and Ethernet initialization firmware within Marvell’s SDK
  • Perform hands-on debugging of I/O interfaces using advanced diagnostic and low-level tools
  • Develop, execute, and continuously improve comprehensive validation and test plans
  • Validate PCIe and Ethernet interfaces and features on new SoCs, with a strong focus on failure analysis and root cause identification
  • Drive issue resolution by performing deep debugging and implementing firmware/software fixes
  • Support silicon bring-up activities, including early-stage platform validation and interface initialization
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with hardware, silicon design, and system teams to resolve complex system-level issues
  • Develop robust firmware and supporting tools to enhance test coverage, automation, and system reliability

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related fields and 5+ years of related professional experience OR Master’s degree and/or PhD in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related fields with 3+ years of experience
  • Proven hands-on expertise in debugging complex hardware/software interactions
  • Solid experience in test development, validation, and execution at system or silicon level
  • Familiarity with bring-up of new SoCs and low-level initialization flows
  • Proficiency in C/C++ and embedded firmware development
  • Experience using lab equipment (e.g., oscilloscopes, protocol analyzers, traffic generators) for debug and validation
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a focus on root cause analysis

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with PCIe and/or Ethernet protocols and subsystems
  • Experience with high-speed interfaces (e.g., PCIe Gen5/Gen6, 100G/200G Ethernet)
  • Familiarity with Firmware or similar networking/SoC platforms
  • Automation and scripting experience (Python, shell, etc.) for test and debug

Pay

Expected base pay range: $143,400 – $212,230 per annum. The successful candidate’s starting base pay will be determined based on job-related skills, experience, qualifications, work location, and market conditions.
