Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Computer, or System Engineering or a related discipline, with 9 years or more of professional experience; or 7 years of professional experience with a related Masters degree.
  • Experience coordinating card or unit level design, integration, test, and debug including hardware, software, and firmware components.
  • Strong Leadership experience including leading cross functional teams.
  • Experience with process reviews, audits and compliance.
  • Experience with laboratory work / testing with analog, RF, or digital hardware, including practical experience with network analyzers, logic analyzers, and spectrum analyzers.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a government DoD security clearance to at least the Secret level and Interim Secret to start.

Work

Lockheed Martin is seeking an experienced Hardware Engineering Lead / Integrated Product Team Lead to join our Mission Systems team. In this senior role, you will play a key part in the development of Advanced Processing systems and subsystems, supporting all aspects of hardware development from requirements derivation through product integration. You’ll lead efforts to ensure the technical integrity, quality, and completeness of work, ensuring that project deliverables meet cost and schedule commitments. You will also utilize Digital Transformation practices, including model-based engineering, test automation, and Agile development, to define product capabilities and drive innovation.

Key Responsibilities

  • Supporting overall organizational process compliance, including management of the Hardware Development Process Implementation.
  • Leading product development activities and providing technical guidance.
  • Coordination of card and unit level design, development, integration, test, and debug including hardware, software, and firmware components.
  • Ensuring the technical integrity and completeness of deliverables.
  • Managing customer interfaces and coordinating with multiple stakeholders.
  • Leveraging Digital Transformation tools to enhance development processes.

Desired Skills

  • DOD customer experience.
  • Experience with designing / developing / integrating advanced processing systems.
  • Circuit card design experience.
  • Control Account and Project Management Experience.
  • CAM Certification a plus.
  • Experience working in classified environments.
  • Experience leading Integrated Product Teams.
  • Experience with DO-178, DO-254 and ARP-4754 processes.
  • Exceptional communication skills, both written and oral, and ability to brief technical / program information to internal and external audiences.
