Role Responsibilities
- Bring up, integrate, and maintain robotic platforms including humanoids, robotic manipulators, and mobile robots.
- Build and maintain robust integrations with ROS 2, hardware SDKs, and custom control interfaces.
- Design scalable data collection pipelines for multimodal robotics datasets using formats such as ROS Bag and HDF5.
- Develop reliable teleoperation systems with an emphasis on low-latency control and operator experience.
- Build and optimize real-time video streaming infrastructure using technologies like WebRTC and GStreamer.
- Integrate, synchronize, and calibrate advanced perception hardware including Intel RealSense and FLIR camera systems.
- Diagnose hardware, networking, and system-level issues across lab and remote deployments.
- Improve developer tooling, automation, and documentation to increase reliability and research velocity.
Requirements
- Strong programming skills in Python and C++, with working knowledge of C#.
- Deep experience with ROS 2, Ubuntu/Linux, Docker, Git, and shell scripting.
- Solid understanding of networking fundamentals, including TCP/IP, SSH, VPNs, REST/gRPC, and WebSockets.
- Hands-on experience building teleoperation systems and real-time video streaming infrastructure.
- Experience integrating and calibrating multimodal sensor systems, including RGB, depth, stereo, and IMU sensors.
- Familiarity with managing large robotics datasets using cloud storage platforms such as AWS S3 or Cloudflare R2.
- Strong debugging skills across hardware, software, networking, and embedded systems.
