Duties & Responsibilities
- Lead hardware development projects from concept through production release
- Create and validate analog, digital, and RF circuits for embedded and IoT systems
- Evaluate and select electronic components, ensuring lifecycle and supply chain suitability
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams for hardware-firmware integration
- Perform board/system-level testing and validation using standard lab equipment (oscilloscope, DVM, spectrum analyzer, load testers)
- Develop and execute product validation plans and ensure regulatory compliance
- Document designs, test plans, and changes; contribute to team knowledge sharing
- Mentor colleagues and offer guidance in hardware development best practices
- Contribute to project planning, scheduling, and status reporting
- Perform other duties as necessary to ensure project success
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or Master’s in Electrical, Electronics, or Computer Engineering or related field
- 6+ years professional experience in hardware development for embedded or IoT products
- Proven track record from concept to manufacturing release
- Expertise in analog, digital, power supply, and RF circuit design; experience with intentional radiator (RF) and high-speed digital interfaces
- Proficient in Altium Designer (schematic capture and PCB layout)
- Skilled in system-level and high-speed circuit testing
- Familiarity with validation and regulatory requirements
- Python scripting experience a plus
- Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills
- Experience mentoring or coaching peers
- Prior experience or internship with embedded electronics preferred
