About the role
We are seeking a skilled Electrical Engineer to join our team at ALTEN Technology USA. This position offers the opportunity to work on cutting-edge projects within the automotive industry, collaborating with experts in various fields.
Responsibilities
- Design and develop embedded electrical systems for automotive applications
- Conduct EMI/EMC design, testing, and troubleshooting
- Participate in electrical architecture discussions and ensure compliance with ISO 26262 and other industry standards
- Collaborate on thermal management solutions for electronic control units (ECUs)
- Review and lead schematic and layout design processes
- Support the integration of advanced driver assistance systems (ADAS), infotainment systems, and software-defined vehicles
- Engage in hardware debugging and problem-solving using electrical lab equipment
Requirements
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical, Electronics, Computer, Aerospace Engineering, or a related field
- At least 2 years of experience in schematic and layout design
- Experience with automotive industry, especially in Tier 1 or Tier 2 roles
- Knowledge of vehicle buses such as ETH/CAN/LIN/LVDS and their troubleshooting tools
- Understanding of system/component design and functional safety
- Experience with power integrity and signal integrity
- Experience in architectural hardware/system roles
- Strong knowledge of hardware systems, software tools, and algorithms for actuator interfaces, firmware development, in-vehicle bus architectures, and computing platforms
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
Qualifications
- Experience with Altium PCB design software
- Proficiency in high-complexity multilayer PCB layout design
- Experience with PCB to mechanical interface and constraints
- Ability to debug and solve problems using electrical lab equipment
