About the role

This role supports the delivery of adult day care services for adults with disabilities, providing a safe environment for individuals and respite for caregivers. The position works alongside Registered Nurses and Licensed Practical Nurses to assist with prescription medication administration and other health care services as needed. The firm also offers clients activities such as games, movies, and field trips, and provides meals and snacks prepared by Don Bosco Center.

Responsibilities

• Assist in providing a safe, supportive environment for adults with disabilities during daytime hours
• Support nursing staff (RNs and LPNs) with medication administration and basic health care tasks as delegated
• Lead or facilitate client activities including games, movies, and field trips
• Assist with serving meals and snacks prepared by Don Bosco Center
• Monitor client well-being and report changes to clinical staff
• Provide personal care and companionship to clients
• Maintain a clean, organized activity and dining area

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Experience working with adults with disabilities or in a caregiving setting preferred
• Ability to assist with mobility and personal care needs
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• Compassionate, patient, and reliable demeanor

Qualifications

• Current CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain upon hire)
• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record for field trip transportation
• Ability to pass background check and drug screening
