About the role

A fast-growing home improvement and remodeling company has immediate, full-time openings for skilled remodelers, carpenters, and handymen. This full-time position offers steady work, competitive pay, a company vehicle, paid holidays and vacations, and bonus opportunities.

Responsibilities

• Complete small to medium maintenance and repairs for home and commercial projects, ranging from two hours to two days in length.
• Communicate with customers to help them understand project needs, manage expectations about scope of work and costs.
• Deliver a great experience that creates life-long repeat customers by following the Mr. Handyman Way—a repeatable process designed to wow customers every time.

Requirements

• Live within the area.
• 8+ years of paid handyman experience.
• Own your own tools.
• Be insurable for driving our vehicle.
• Pass a background and driving record check.
• Able to lift 50 pounds independently.
• Able to safely work at heights and overhead for extended periods.
• Maintain a professional appearance and care for the company-provided vehicle.
• Strong proficiency in at least three of the following:
  • Carpentry work
  • Bathroom improvements
  • Kitchen improvements
  • Painting (interior and exterior)
  • Drywall work (minor and major repairs)
  • General plumbing and electrical (where allowed by law)
  • Floor installation and refurbishing

Skills

• Self-starter and self-managing.
• Excellent customer service, including asking for reviews and collecting payments.
• Ability to use technology to document jobs while following the Mr. Handyman Way process.

Pay

The pay range for this position is $52,000–$75,000 per year, with bonus opportunities. Compensation depends on your experience as a professional handyman and your expertise in other home repair and maintenance projects such as carpentry, electrical, plumbing, and drywall.
