About the Role
Goddard Riverside is a well-established Manhattan community-based agency with an annual operating budget of approximately $50 million. As one of New York City’s leading human service organizations, we meet the basic needs of children, youth and families, homeless people, and older adults across Manhattan and New York City.
The Handyman is responsible for maintaining a safe, clean, functional, and well-maintained supportive housing residence consisting of more than 50 residential units for adults, including individuals with mobility impairments. Working collaboratively with property management, maintenance staff, and supportive services personnel, the Handyman preserves the physical condition of the property by performing timely repairs, preventative maintenance, and addressing safety concerns.
Responsibilities
- Perform timely repairs and preventative maintenance for a supportive housing residence with over 50 residential units
- Maintain a safe, clean, and functional environment for residents, including those with mobility impairments
- Address safety concerns and ensure compliance with relevant regulations and standards
- Collaborate with property management, maintenance staff, and supportive services personnel
Requirements
Candidates must have the required qualifications to be considered for the position. The salary offer will be based on the candidate’s number of years of experience in the exact or comparable position, and additional preferred qualifications will be taken into account.
Pay
Hourly range: $23.38–$27.04
Schedule
Monday–Friday, 9:00 AM–5:00 PM
