About the Role

Honey Homes is hiring experienced handymen in Austin to serve a dedicated territory of 40-50 homes. Enjoy steady, well-paid work with predictable hours and no weekends or on-call shifts.

Pay

$31-36/hr ($67,000 - $75,000 per year) plus equity in the business. Mileage reimbursement for all local driving between appointments.

Schedule

Monday–Friday, 8:30am–5:00pm. No evenings, weekends, required overtime, or on-call.

Responsibilities

  • Perform residential home repair and maintenance tasks across multiple trades, including:
    • Carpentry (doors, trim, framing, repairs)
    • Painting and drywall patching
    • Plumbing (toilets, faucets, minor pipe repairs)
    • Electrical (fixtures, outlets, small wiring tasks)
    • Smart home device installation
  • Manage a territory of 40-50 residential homes, providing maintenance and repair services.
  • Build strong relationships with homeowners, becoming their trusted handyman.
  • Use our app to track jobs, tasks, and schedules.
  • Provide outstanding customer service with a proactive and customer-friendly attitude.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of handyman or multi-trade experience.
  • Skilled across multiple trade areas (carpentry, drywall, painting, plumbing, electrical).
  • Prior work as a maintenance technician, carpenter, plumber, or electrician strongly preferred.
  • Experience in residential home repair and upkeep.
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving ability to independently assess and fix most home issues.
  • Attention to detail (clean caulk lines, professional patching, and painting).
  • Customer-friendly attitude with strong communication skills.
  • Reliable vehicle, valid driver’s license, and own tools.
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds regularly (with or without reasonable accommodation).
  • Comfortable working on ladders or scaffolding at heights up to 12 feet.
