About the role
The Clinical Assistant Professor should be prepared to contribute to the academic and clinical missions of the department, participating in resident medical student, and undergraduate training and education. This university based full-time academic faculty position requires Level 1 Hand Call, participation in resident/fellow didactics, and research mentorship for young learners. Stony Brook Medicine is Long Island's premier academic medical center, integrating education, research, and patient care across multiple hospitals, schools, and community-based settings.

Qualifications
- MD or DO Degree (or foreign equivalent)
- Board Eligible/Board Certified in Orthopaedics
- Fellowship training in Hand Surgery
- Eligible for licensure in New York State
Requirements
- Tenure/Non-Tenure Track position
- FLSA Exempt position (not eligible for overtime)
- Must successfully clear a background investigation
- Anticipated start date: As soon as possible
