Hand Occupational Therapist- Contingent

About the Role

• Evaluate and treat patients with conditions affecting the hands, wrist, elbows, and shoulders
• Assess and treat injuries and conditions such as fractures, tendon, nerve injuries, arthritis, cumulative trauma, chronic pain, and post-surgical conditions
• Develop personalized treatment plans to improve mobility, reduce pain, and restore function using therapeutic interventions including modalities and orthosis fabrication, as prescribed by a physician
• This is a temporary position of 20-40 hours per week, depending on clinic needs

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor, Master of Science or clinical Doctorate degree in Occupational Therapy
• Current Michigan License, or eligible
• Member of NBCOT
• Current Certified Hand Therapist (CHT)
• Ability to work between the hours of 7am and 7pm based on clinic scheduling needs
• Strong adaptability and willingness to work in multiple clinic locations as needed
• Experience with a wide range of upper extremity diagnoses
• Strong interpersonal communication skills to work effectively with diverse teams and patient populations

Desired Qualifications

• Experience or strong interest in treating chronic pain and complex upper extremity conditions
• Proficiency with electronic medical record (EMR) systems
