About the Role
- Evaluate and treat patients with conditions affecting the hands, wrist, elbows, and shoulders
- Assess and treat injuries and conditions such as fractures, tendon, nerve injuries, arthritis, cumulative trauma, chronic pain, and post-surgical conditions
- Develop personalized treatment plans to improve mobility, reduce pain, and restore function using therapeutic interventions including modalities and orthosis fabrication, as prescribed by a physician
- This is a temporary position of 20-40 hours per week, depending on clinic needs
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor, Master of Science or clinical Doctorate degree in Occupational Therapy
- Current Michigan License, or eligible
- Member of NBCOT
- Current Certified Hand Therapist (CHT)
- Ability to work between the hours of 7am and 7pm based on clinic scheduling needs
- Strong adaptability and willingness to work in multiple clinic locations as needed
- Experience with a wide range of upper extremity diagnoses
- Strong interpersonal communication skills to work effectively with diverse teams and patient populations
Desired Qualifications
- Experience or strong interest in treating chronic pain and complex upper extremity conditions
- Proficiency with electronic medical record (EMR) systems
