Schedule

  • Saturday: 8:30 AM – 1:00 PM (every Saturday)
  • Monday: 10:15 AM – 6:30 PM
  • Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday: Off
  • Friday: 8:45 AM – 6:30 PM

Responsibilities

  • Provide superior member service by accurately and efficiently performing teller transactions in accordance with VACU policies and procedures.
  • Build and maintain member relationships by recommending VACU products and services.
  • Demonstrate knowledge of VACU policies and procedures, including Security and Information Security.
  • Maintain knowledge of VACU products and services to meet member needs and make appropriate referrals.
  • Perform paying and receiving functions, including deposits, check cashing, loan payments, miscellaneous sales, and cash advances, with accurate balancing and reporting.
  • Exercise good judgment and seek approval for transactions exceeding your level of authority.
  • Verify and balance assigned cash drawer daily with minimal cash variances; assist in reconciling errors or discrepancies.
  • Maintain adequate cash and/or cash limits as required by VACU policy.
  • Demonstrate basic knowledge of safe deposit box access procedures.
  • Provide quality service by following all member service expectations.
  • Meet expectations in teller performance documentation, including service quality, operations, and sales.
  • Comply with all enterprise-level policies and procedures, including Risk Management policies.
  • Complete all required, ongoing enterprise-level training, including BSA, OFAC, and Information Security.
  • Report all Risk Management Policy violations in accordance with policy.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by your supervisor.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Cash handling or business experience, preferably at a financial institution.
  • Good understanding of products and services offered by financial institutions (preferred).
  • Satisfactory computer skills (preferred).
  • Math aptitude, professional appearance, manner, and communication skills.

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to sit and stand for long periods of time.
  • Occasionally lift up to 50 pounds and/or frequently lift up to 30 pounds.

Pay

$18.67–$20.62 per hour.
