Hallmark Merchandiser (part-time) Orange, CA 92865

As a Field Merchandiser, you'll work independently to showcase your organization and time management skills, your ability to establish retailer relationships, and represent Hallmark in local stores. You will collaborate with store teams to optimize product placement, maintain inventory levels, and support seasonal resets and installations. Occasionally, you may work with products from other companies in the stores you service.

Salary and Schedule Details

• Starting hourly pay rate: $17.87 to $19.87, depending on skills and experience

Responsibilities

• Perform service work in the Hallmark department of various retail stores (grocery, drug, department, and mass retailers)
• Day-to-day engagement:
  • Restock, organize, and monitor Hallmark product inventory using a Hallmark-provided mobile device
  • Manage product placement both within and outside the Hallmark department
  • Use technology for communication, time reporting, feedback, and merchandising surveys
  • Maintain professional and courteous interactions with store employees, management, and customers
  • Oversee the entire Hallmark product display at assigned stores
• Holiday support:
  • Work additional days and extended hours leading up to and following major holidays (Valentine’s Day, Easter, Mother’s Day, Father’s Day, Halloween, Thanksgiving, and Christmas)
  • May be required to work on holidays themselves, including weekends (e.g., Valentine’s Day, Mother’s Day, Father’s Day)
• Department resets:
  • Participate in team-based installations, including building and installing Hallmark fixtures, relocating card departments, and resetting card sections
  • Typically notified two weeks in advance for remodel assignments, which may include evenings or weekends
• Collaborate with Hallmark’s field organization to support other team members in their territories as needed

Physical Requirements

• Physically demanding role requiring high energy and a sense of urgency
• Work on the selling floor and in back stockrooms
• Consistently push, pull, lift, and carry cartons, merchandise, and display fixtures up to 30 pounds throughout the workday (up to 50 pounds on occasion)
• Kneel, squat, walk, and stand throughout the workday
• May be required to climb stairs and step ladders

Requirements

• At least 18 years of age
• Ability to read, write, and understand English
• Ability to grasp, pull, lift, and carry products up to 30 pounds frequently and 50 pounds occasionally
• Ability to operate a digital hand-held device to open, read, and interpret documents and information
• Access to a Wi-Fi network and the internet
• Access to consistent transportation to travel to and between assigned stores as scheduled
