Hallmark Merchandiser (part-time) Mission, KS 66202
As a Merchandiser, you'll work independently to showcase your organization and time management skills, establish retailer relationships, and represent Hallmark. You will collaborate with local store teams to optimize product placement, maintain inventory levels, and support fellow team members with seasonal resets and installations. Occasionally, you may work with products from other companies in the stores you service.
Pay
Your starting hourly pay rate will be $15.00–$17.00 per hour, depending on skills and experience. Eligible employees receive annual pay increases.
Schedule
This is a part-time position with a variable schedule during the workweek, averaging 8–10 hours per week. Availability is required the week before and after major holidays, which may include weekends, as well as for season changeovers, extended services, installations, and inventory support. On holidays like Valentine’s Day, Mother’s Day, and Father’s Day, you may be required to work on the actual holiday, including weekends. You may also be notified two weeks in advance for remodel assignments, which could include evenings or weekends.

Responsibilities
- Perform service work in the Hallmark department of various retail stores, including grocery stores, drug stores, department stores, and mass retailers.
- Day-to-day engagement:
- Restock, organize, and monitor inventory of Hallmark products within and outside the Hallmark department using a mobile device provided by Hallmark.
- Use technology for communication with supervisors, reporting time, providing feedback, and completing required merchandising activities.
- Maintain professional and courteous interactions with store employees, management, and customers.
- Oversee the entire Hallmark product display at assigned stores.
- Holiday support:
- Expect additional days and extended hours leading up to and following major holidays such as Valentine’s Day, Easter, Mother’s Day, Father’s Day, Halloween, Thanksgiving, and Christmas.
- Department resets:
- Participate in team-based installations, including building and installing Hallmark fixtures, relocating card departments, resetting card sections, and other tasks.
- Support fellow team members in their territories as part of Hallmark’s field organization.
Requirements
- At least 18 years of age.
- Able to read, write, and understand English.
- Ability to grasp, pull, lift, and carry products up to 30 pounds frequently and 50 pounds occasionally.
- Capable of operating a digital hand-held device to read documents and interpret information.
- Access to a Wi-Fi network and the internet.
- Access to consistent transportation to travel to and between assigned stores as scheduled.
Physical Requirements
This is a physically demanding role requiring high energy and a sense of urgency. Responsibilities include:
- Working on the selling floor and in back stockrooms.
- Consistently pushing, pulling, lifting, and carrying cartons, merchandise, and display fixtures up to 30 pounds throughout the workday and up to 50 pounds on occasion.
- Kneeling, squatting, walking, and standing throughout the workday.
- Climbing stairs and step ladders as required.
