About the role

As a Merchandiser, you will work independently to showcase your organization and time management skills, build retailer relationships, and represent Hallmark. You will collaborate with local store teams to optimize product placement, maintain inventory levels, and assist with seasonal resets and installations when needed. On occasion, you may also support products from other companies in the stores you service.

Responsibilities

• Perform service work in the Hallmark department of various retail stores (e.g., grocery stores, drug stores, department stores, mass retailers).
• Restock, organize, and monitor Hallmark product inventory using a mobile device provided by Hallmark.
• Use technology for day-to-day tasks, supervisor communication, time reporting, feedback, and survey completion.
• Maintain professional and courteous interactions with store employees, management, and customers.
• Manage the entire Hallmark product display at assigned stores.
• Provide holiday support, including additional days and extended hours during peak seasons (e.g., Valentine’s Day, Easter, Mother’s Day, Father’s Day, Halloween, Thanksgiving, Christmas).
• Participate in department resets, including building and installing fixtures, relocating card departments, and resetting card sections, with advance notice (typically two weeks).
• Support other team members in your territory as needed.

Physical Requirements

• Physically demanding role requiring energy and urgency.
• Work on the selling floor and in back stockrooms.
• Frequently push, pull, lift, and carry cartons, merchandise, and display fixtures up to 30 pounds; occasionally up to 50 pounds.
• Kneel, squat, walk, stand, climb stairs, and use step ladders throughout the workday.

Basic Qualifications

• At least 18 years of age.
• Ability to read, write, and understand English.
• Ability to grasp, pull, lift, and carry products up to 30 pounds frequently and 50 pounds occasionally.
• Ability to operate a digital hand-held device to open and read documents and interpret information.
• Access to a Wi-Fi network and the internet.
• Access to consistent transportation to travel to and between assigned stores as scheduled.

Pay

Starting hourly pay rate: $17.15 – $19.15 per hour, depending on skills and experience.

Schedule

• Part-time position with a variable schedule during the work week.
• Average weekly hours: 7–15 hours per week.
• Availability required the week before and after major holidays, which may include weekends.
• Availability to support seasonal changeovers, extended services, installations, and inventory support.
