Hallmark Merchandiser (part-time) Harvest, AL 35749

As a Merchandiser, you'll work independently to showcase your organization and time management skills, your ability to establish retailer relationships, and represent Hallmark in local stores. You will collaborate with store teams to optimize product placement, maintain inventory levels, and support seasonal resets and installations. Occasionally, you may work with products from other companies in the stores you service.

Pay and Schedule

• Starting hourly pay: $13.00 - $15.00 per hour, depending on skills and experience
• Paid training: live, hands-on instruction and virtual classroom training
• Part-time position with a variable schedule (8 - 15 hours per week on average)
• Availability required the week before and after major holidays, including weekends
• Availability for season changeovers, extended services, installations, and inventory support
• Eligible employees receive annual pay increases

Responsibilities

• Perform service work in Hallmark departments across various retail stores (grocery, drug, department, and mass retailers)
• Day-to-day engagement:
  • Restock, organize, and monitor Hallmark product inventory using a Hallmark-provided mobile device
  • Manage the entire Hallmark product display at assigned stores
  • Use technology for communication, time reporting, feedback, and merchandising activities
  • Maintain professional and courteous interactions with store employees, management, and customers
• Holiday support:
  • Work additional days and extended hours leading up to and following major holidays (Valentine’s Day, Easter, Mother’s Day, Father’s Day, Halloween, Thanksgiving, and Christmas)
  • May be required to work on holidays such as Valentine’s Day, Mother’s Day, and Father’s Day, including weekends
• Department resets:
  • Participate in team-based installations, including building and installing Hallmark fixtures, relocating card departments, and resetting card sections
  • Typically notified two weeks in advance for remodel assignments, which may include evenings or weekends
• Collaborate with Hallmark’s field organization to support team members in their territories as needed

Physical Requirements

• Physically demanding role requiring high energy and a sense of urgency
• Work on the selling floor and in back stockrooms
• Consistently push, pull, lift, and carry cartons, merchandise, and display fixtures up to 30 pounds (up to 50 pounds occasionally)
• Kneel, squat, walk, and stand throughout the workday
• May require climbing stairs and step ladders

Requirements

• At least 18 years of age
• Able to read, write, and understand English
• Ability to grasp, pull, lift, and carry products up to 30 pounds frequently and 50 pounds occasionally
• Operate a digital hand-held device to read documents and interpret information
• Access to a Wi-Fi network and the internet
• Access to consistent transportation to travel to and between assigned stores
