Hallmark Merchandiser (part-time) Federal Way, WA 98003

As a Merchandiser, you'll work independently to showcase your organization and time management skills, establish retailer relationships, and represent Hallmark. You will collaborate with local store teams to optimize product placement, maintain inventory levels, and support fellow team members with seasonal resets and installations. Occasionally, you may work with products from other companies in the stores you service.

Salary and Schedule Details

• Starting hourly pay rate: $17.25 - $19.25 per hour, depending on skills and experience.
• Paid training provided through live, hands-on instruction and virtual classroom training.

• Part-time position with a variable schedule during the workweek, averaging 12-16 hours per week.
• Availability required the week before and after major holidays, including weekends.
• Availability to support season changeovers, extended services, installations, and inventory support.

Responsibilities

• Perform service work in the Hallmark department of various retail stores (grocery, drug, department, and mass retailers).
• Day-to-day engagement:
  • Restock, organize, and monitor Hallmark product inventory within and outside the Hallmark department using a Hallmark-provided mobile device.
  • Use technology for communication, time reporting, feedback, and completing required merchandising activities.
  • Maintain professional and courteous interactions with store employees, management, and customers.
  • Responsible for the entire Hallmark product display at assigned stores.
• Holiday support:
  • Expect additional days and extended hours leading up to and following major holidays (Valentine’s Day, Easter, Mother’s Day, Father’s Day, Halloween, Thanksgiving, and Christmas).
  • May be required to work on holidays such as Valentine’s Day, Mother’s Day, and Father’s Day, including weekends.
• Department Resets:
  • Participate in team-based installations, including building and installing Hallmark fixtures, relocating card departments, and resetting card sections.
  • Typically notified two weeks in advance for remodel assignments, which may include evenings or weekends.
• One Team Vision: Support other merchandising professionals in their territories as needed.

Physical Requirements

• Physically demanding role requiring high energy and a sense of urgency.
• Work on the selling floor and in back stockrooms.
• Consistently push, pull, lift, and carry cartons, merchandise, and display fixtures up to 30 pounds throughout the workday and up to 50 pounds occasionally.
• Kneel, squat, walk, and stand throughout the workday; may require climbing stairs and step ladders.

Requirements

• At least 18 years of age.
• Able to read, write, and understand English.
• Ability to grasp, pull, lift, and carry products up to 30 pounds frequently and 50 pounds occasionally.
• Operate a digital hand-held device to open and read documents and interpret information.
• Access to a Wi-Fi network and the internet.
• Access to consistent transportation to travel to and between assigned stores as scheduled.
