About the role

As a Merchandiser, you’ll work independently to organize and present Hallmark products, manage inventory, and serve as the brand’s representative in retail stores. You’ll collaborate with store teams to optimize product placement, maintain stock levels, and assist with seasonal resets and installations. On occasion, you may also support non-Hallmark products in the stores you service.

Responsibilities

  • Day-to-day engagement: Restock, organize, and monitor Hallmark inventory inside and outside the Hallmark department using a Hallmark-provided mobile device. Use technology for daily tasks, supervisor communication, time reporting, feedback, and merchandising activity surveys. Interact professionally with store employees, management, and customers.
  • Holiday support: Expect additional days and extended hours before and after major holidays (Valentine’s Day, Easter, Mother’s Day, Father’s Day, Halloween, Thanksgiving, Christmas). May be required to work on holidays or weekends.
  • Department resets: Build and install Hallmark fixtures, relocate card departments and products, and reset card sections as part of a team. Advance notice (typically two weeks) is provided for remodel assignments, which may include evenings or weekends.
  • Team collaboration: Support fellow merchandisers in your territory or network as needed.

Physical Requirements

  • Physically demanding role requiring energy and urgency.
  • Work on the selling floor and in back stockrooms.
  • Consistently push, pull, lift, and carry cartons, merchandise, and display fixtures up to 30 pounds; up to 50 pounds on occasion.
  • Frequent kneeling, squatting, walking, and standing; may require climbing stairs and step ladders.

Requirements

  • At least 18 years of age.
  • Ability to read, write, and understand English.
  • Ability to grasp, pull, lift, and carry products up to 30 pounds frequently and 50 pounds occasionally.
  • Ability to operate a digital hand-held device to open and read documents and interpret information.
  • Access to a Wi-Fi network and the internet.
  • Access to consistent transportation to travel to and between assigned stores as scheduled.

Pay

Starting hourly pay is $15.00 – $17.00 based on skills and experience.

Schedule

  • Part-time position with a variable weekly schedule.
  • Average weekly hours: 12 – 15.
  • Required availability the week before and after major holidays, including weekends.
  • Availability to support season changeovers, extended services, installations, and inventory support.
