Hakha Chin Remote Interpreter

About the role

Certified Languages International (CLI) seeks telephonic interpreters to support their high-volume client base. Positions are 100% over-the-phone and available for work-from-home independent contractors. Services cover various industries including medical, financial, utility, customer service, and state courts.

Responsibilities

• Provide interpreting services for a variety of industries and clients.
• Interpret over the phone for clients 24/7.
• Log on and off using CLI's online portal or landline telephone.
• Must have legal authorization to work in the US and reside in the US.
• Must complete CLI's Haitian Creole Language Assessment.
• Interpreting is paid on a per-minute basis, with payment issued twice monthly via direct deposit.

Requirements

• Minimum two years of professional interpreting experience, preferably in Over the Phone Interpreting.
• Legal authorization to work in the US and reside in the US.
• Reside outside of California, New Jersey, and New York.

Qualifications

• Must be fluent in the language(s) needed for the interpreting positions.
• Must have a valid driver's license and reliable transportation.

Skills

• Excellent communication skills.
• Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information.
• Flexibility to work irregular hours, including evenings and weekends.
