Hair Stylist or Hair Designer, Licensed Cosmetologist

About the Role

SmartStyle Salon, located inside Walmart, is seeking a passionate and talented Hair Stylist / Hair Designer to join our team. As a hairstylist or designer, you'll have the opportunity to change people's lives by providing exceptional hair services, including haircuts, color, highlights, waxing, and specialty services.

Responsibilities

• Provide exceptional guest service
• Understand each guest's needs and provide quality consultations
• Perform requested services in an efficient and professional manner

Qualifications

• Current cosmetology or barber license as required by state regulations
• Ability and willingness to work a flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends
• Comfortable using technology and performing basic administrative tasks
• Ability to read, write, and perform basic math

Physical Requirements

• Good eyesight, including close vision, color vision, and ability to adjust focus
• Ability to stand, move, lift, bend, reach, and perform repetitive movements throughout the workday
• Comfortable occasionally lifting 10-25 lbs
• Ability to work around salon products, fragrances, and chemicals
