Master’s degree in computer science, information technology, or engineering. No experience required.
Responsibilities
- Engage in software architecture and design for clients located throughout the U.S.
- Use Hadoop, the Spark ecosystem, and perform data warehousing to load data into tables that will be formatted.
- Provide production support to support multiple applications that present data.
- Engage in shell scripting to run Oozie jobs.
- Create Production Requests to make changes to existing systems.
- Work on Jira tickets and incidents to make changes to existing systems and for upcoming deployments.
- Clean up high memory usage tables and manage incidents which are generated through the At Your Service Portal.
- Schedule applications in ESP CA workload automation and monitoring systems.
- Move data from Teradata to Hadoop servers and complete a distcp to move the data to another VMG cluster through Yahoo-Hadoop clusters.
- Monitor applications that are running and analyze failed Hadoop and Oozie jobs in the Omega Yarn and Oozie Yarn applications and fix issues based upon these failures.
- Perform ETL and troubleshoot pipelines that use Oracle, Teradata, and Informatica.
