H2S Field Technician- LOCALS ONLY

Essential Duties

• Aid in rigging gas detection systems and maintaining gas detection systems and breathing air safety equipment.
• Calibrate gas detection systems.
• Complete daily, weekly, and monthly checks on equipment.
• Fit test customer personnel.
• Inspect and service cooling and shower trailers.
• Work safely and adhere to all Total Safety and customer policies and procedures.
• Complete all required Total Safety and customer documentation in a timely and accurate manner.
• Ensure proper charging and functionality of Cascade Air Banks, SCBA’s, and air compressors.
• Perform scheduled air quality checks.
• Assist others in facility with inspection, cleaning, servicing, reassembling, and testing shop equipment, SCBA’s, manifolds, regulators, hoses, and other safety equipment.
• Stock shelves with clean, tested, and ready-to-use equipment and assist with pulling, staging, and loading equipment for jobs.
• Maintain work area and other areas in a clean and orderly condition.
• Maintain equipment cleanliness and sanitize respirator masks.
• Maintain ongoing inventory of safety equipment locations and availability.
• Perform basic maintenance and care of assigned vehicle and/or trailer.
• Assist others as needed.

Skills And Experience

• 3 - 6 months' H2S and/or upstream experience.
• Successfully completed H2S Academy Training, including but not limited to H2S Training, SAFE GULF or SAFE LAND.
• First aid responder training preferred.
• Training in state and OSHA regulations.
• Customer service skills training.
• Trained to complete site inspections using SMART Inspections program.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.

Pay

Negotiable based on experience and qualifications.

Schedule

Rotating shifts, including weekends and holidays.
